The Wine:
This year, fruit for the Eurilla Pinot Noir hails from two of Jasper’s favoured sites in the Piccadilly Valley. The Aesctun Vineyard is located on the northern ridge of the valley and is home to south-facing slopes of sand, silt and clay over a bedrock of ancient sandstone. The Deanery Vineyard's east-facing slopes at the valley's southern end feature red clay soils over sandstone. The fruit was picked and sorted by hand before destemming (10% bunches retained). After a cold soak and fermentation (three weeks), the wine matured in three-year-old French barriques for eight months, followed by four months in tank to preserve freshness.

Eurilla Pinot 2024 has bright natural acidity and is red-fruited with intense dark cherries and bramble. There are pleasant, savoury undertones of dry leaves and forest floor.
